Yes. It is possible to set up your email account on a computer that's not connected to XMission. If you do this, you need to be sure to set your outgoing mail server to authenticate with your XMission account name and password. This, however, is not ideal for using your email account from another computer. XMission offers "Webmail", which is accessible from any browser and any Internet connection.
