You may have started PICTURE IT! Software as a stand- alone application and then selected 'Get Images' from the PhotoDoc scanner, choosing black-and-white scans. When the scan was transferred to the PICTURE IT! application, the image was garbled, although grayscale and color scans were fine. The solution is to scan black-and-white images into the PICTURE IT! application by using the Launcher's PICTURE IT! icon, and your black-and-white scans transfer correctly.

WinImages is an aspect-correct program. It reads the DPI (dots-per-inch) settings from an image file and uses them to set the ratio of width to height for display. Some programs do not set these values in the image file correctly, and as a result, the image will appear distorted. The solution is to select "Change Image Info" from the menus and edit the DPI setting. If you want the change to be permanent, you'll need to re-save the image.

If your image is not the maximum size for the gallery page your thumbnail may be distorted. This exaggeration is most noticeable in vertical images. If you want to avoid the distortion please make a box in Photoshop that is 447 pixels wide and 350 pixels high that is white. Then save this newly generated file as the file for the registry. This will help ease any distortion that may occur.

The Imaging software that comes with Windows 95/98/NT/2000 is usually the default TIFF editor that launches automatically when you double click on a fax. This application can read and print our TIFF files properly. When you install certain applications, like Corel Draw or Microsoft Publisher, they replace the default TIFF editor with their own.

The View Menu option "Fit images to desktop" is activated (or a similar view option), please uncheck and use the recommended display option.

QuickTime 5.0 streams the panoramas so that you begin viewing some portions of the panorama while others are loading. The black background with white grid lines indicate a portion of the panorama that has not yet loaded.

The black lines on the boxes indicate that they did not sell and were returned to the manufacturer. When the boxes were returned, they were usually resold for a lot less than originally priced. There is nothing wrong with the contents of the black-lined boxes. Glossy finish means the surface is shiny, smooth, and reflective (like the finish on a photograph). Matte finish means the surface is dull and somewhat rough (like the finish on a plain piece of paper).

Some clone or dual display setups (one 2D and one 3D) have different resolutions and refresh rates on the two displays. The TriDef Control Panel reports the settings on the primary Display which is most likely to be the 2D Display. With such a setup you should review the video card driver software to check the actual settings of the 3D Display. See Dealing with cloned displays. Your browser preferences may be set to "compress graphics" (this is the default setting for America Online and CompuServe users). In order to produce the smoothest, highest quality images when performing its color reduction, Videodelic converts 32-bit color images to 8-bit grayscale. This provides 256 gray/intensity levels. It is possible to perform the reduction in color, but there is a loss of smoothness in the image due to the required dithering. If the color mode is System clut when images are imported, they are imported in color.

This is something that usually happens when (a) you replace an empty cartridge with a full one. (b) you have not used your printer for a few days. It is usually due to either clogs in the tiny print nozzles or air trapped between the print nozzles and the new flow of ink from the cartridge.

Those lines arc called soil filtration lines, which are created by soot. Although the cleaning process may improve their appearance, it will not be able to remove them. However, at an additional charge, soil filtration lines can be removed through our restoration methods. To help you reduce this problem, you can use electrostatic filters and check your furnace yearly.

Called " bleed out" this is a good sign that the membrane has been welded together correctly at the overlapping joint. A 3 - 5mm bleed out is normal and some manufacturers even require this bleed out to be visible and consistent throughout the roof area before a Guarantee is issued. Sprinkling the hot bleed out with loose chips during application or by reheating on completion can easily hide the black lines if required.

Unfortunately AWT Buttons do not support images nor mnemonics. Only javax.swing.Button supports these features.
