AVIedit lets you convert avi movies to animated GIF files and FLI/FLC files in either direction. Also it is possible to save avi frames to bmp, jpeg and other still image formats. The mpeg file is the VCD compliant mpeg file. Then you need a VCD burner. We recommend NERO. Burn it with the option "To VCD". Follow the wizard. You clearly didn't read my guide good enough... the error message betrays you! You tried to load a .avs.txt file which won't work. Your file must end with .avs nothing else. Rename the file to movie.avs. You have to deactivate the DirectShow reader. In order to do so select Options, Environmental properties, click on the VFAPI-plugin tab and uncheck DirectShow Multimedia Reader. I prefer TMPEGEnc. However that's a personal preference..
