SOFA (Sculpture Objects & Functional Art) is a biannual art exposition in Chicago and New York, produced by Expressions of Culture, Inc., Chicago. International galleries and dealers exhibit one-of-a-kind three-dimensional masterworks bridging the decorative and fine arts.

Foam has a five year warranty against defects in workmanship such as tearing or collapsing. However, this will not apply if such a defect is caused by normal usage. Suspension system has a full lifetime warranty against tearing or separating from the frame under normal household use. Upholstery is designed and engineered for sitting or lying down. It is not intended for standing, jumping or bouncing. These uses may result in damages which will not be covered under warranty.

All work at SOFA is presented by galleries and dealers selected through an application process. SOFA does not present individual artists.

All furniture is made using solid beech hardwood frames. All joints are glued and dowelled and heavily re info rced at major stress points with screws thus ensuring lifetime durability. Seat platforms are steel sprung with serpentine/zigzag springs or webbed with high tension webbing. All foam fillings and composites are of the highest quality and compliant with Furniture & Furnishings (Fire Safety) Regulations 1988.

We recommend using our new paint, Upholstery Fabric Paint, rather than Simply Spray for upholstery. Upholstery Fabric Paint is a different formula than Simply Spray. Depending on the fabric, Simply Spray will work on upholstery. It is always best to test on a small piece of scrap fabric before proceeding. Simply Spray works best on 100% light colored fabric. Simply Spray will not cover dark fabric. You will need to apply a few coats of paint to fully cover your upholstery.

Determine how much needs to be done. Is the frame loose (do arms or legs move?) If the frame needs repair we must then remove all fabric and padding from at least the area to be repaired. We will then tighten joints add glue blocks as needed or repair and strengthen broken wood. B. Are the springs sagging or poking up? If this is the case we will remove the old webbing or ties as necessary and replace what is needed with your original springs. C.

Yes. Two "SOFA Cafés" will be opening during show hours. There are also several restaurants located on Navy Pier.

Sunlight will fade leather faster than leather not exposed to direct sunlight. All leathers will fade over time. Protected leathers will resist fading longer than Natural Leathers.

Scatter cushions are included with our sofas where specified. You may choose to have these cushions made up in the same fabric as the sofa or in a complimentary fabric. Additional scatter cushions can be ordered if required.
