Well, we-- as I said, we do a variety of things. I still do some real biochemistry, for example now I'm involved in a project looking at multiple sclerosis. We're testing hypotheses that if we can increase the gene expression for a certain zinc-containing protein and do it at several different stages of the process of gene expression, if we can do that, we might be able to minimize the symptoms of people that have multiple sclerosis. That's an example of a project I'm doing.

A laboratory test is a health screening service that can assist you in determining many things about your health that could possibly otherwise go undetected. The tests you can order through HS Labs, Inc. are the same tests ordered by physicians.

We are required to seperated each dust (wipe) sample compoiste into single samples and each single sample must be analyzed as a seperate single sample. The report must also have for each sub-sample in the composite the remarks "This sample was contaminated by other samples as it was sent in the same container with other samples" printed on the report. This is required by the AIHA. We are an accredited AIHA Lead laboratory and must follow their rules and regulations.

I typically have anywhere from four to seven undergrads working on projects with me and I take these projects very seriously. I routinely see these projects become papers at academic conferences, and I've even had an undergraduate win a best paper award from a project in my lab. Almost always, these students have take CS 473 (Intelligent Robotics) or CS 470 (Artificial Intelligence) before they begin work.

Project Opus only makes money when the artist sells a song. We will never benefit at the expense of artists or fans. Lawrence residence halls contain public labs with networked computers, a networked laser printer, and a telephone for reporting issues to the Helpdesk at ext. 6570. These are 24-hour access facilities. Each registered Lawrence student has a "star key" that allows entrance to these residence hall labs. Note: The Sage and Colman labs are larger in order to reflect the additional number of students residing in smaller nearby buildings.

Basic labs such as CBC or cholesterol screening are available within a few days. Any labwork sent to the state, i.e. HIV screening or titers, takes 3 weeks before we receive the results.
