For foreign applications, we require a TOEFL score of 600. While your GRE score is important, we have no specific cut-off for GRE scores, and consider the GRE score to be just one part of your overall application. All applicants must submit a GRE score to be considered for fellowships or graduate teaching assistantships.

Yes. The minimum required TOEFL score is 600 for the written test, 250 for the computer-based test, and 100 for the Internet-based test. For the IELTS, we require a minimum score of 7.5 out of 10 on the academic module. We accept only academic module results.

You are highly recommended to take a TOEFL/IELTS test as early as possible because once you are selected to go on exchange, you are required to provide a proof of English proficiency along with your admission application to the host university. If you are unable to attach a proof of English proficiency to the application, you are at your own risk that your admission application to the host university will be rejected.

There are no 'cut-off' scores for the GRE examination, which is evaluated in the context of your entire application package. The minimum acceptable TOEFL score is 550 (paper-based); 213 (computer-based); and the IBT is still being evaluated in a case-by-case basis. Note: TOEFL scores are required of international students whose native language is not English and whose undergraduate degree was obtained at a non-English speaking university.

All band scores are based on the candidate's performance on the test day using the same assessment criteria to ensure fairness. All IELTS examiners are fully trained and their performance is regularly monitored.

Students must demonstrate an English Language competency. Applicants who did not have English as the formal language of instruction are expected to demonstrate a reasonable command of the language by taking a TOEFL or an IELTS test (for a TOEFL a score of 500+ & written test score of 4.0+ in conventional is required; or a score of 200+ is required for a computer based TOEFL test; for an IELTS test a score 5.5+ is required).

Applicants may use Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores. Scores must be less than five years old at the time you begin the program. There are no waivers of the standardized test score requirement. There is no minimum score requirement, but few students scoring lower than the 90 th percentile are considered competitive. There is no GRE score minimum, rather, the Admissions Committee takes an applicant's entire file into consideration when making an admissions decision. Both MCAT and GMAT scores will be accepted in lieu of the GRE. The LSAT may not be substituted for the GRE.
