What are ALT (SGPT) and AST (SGOT)?

FAQ
AST (SGOT)- this enzyme has its highest concentrations in the heart, liver, and muscles. Increased levels in the blood are seen shortly after a heart attack, in liver disease and diseases involving muscle damage. Reference range is 7-56 U/L. ALT (SGPT) - this enzyme is present in higher concentrations in the liver than muscle. Consequently an elevation is more specific to liver disease. Both SGOT and SGPT become elevated whenever liver cells are damaged. Reference range is 7-56 U/L.

What is Alt SGPT? I am also showing low testosterone. Is this a result of Zocor?

Drug InfoNet - Lipitor - [heart]
Answer: Zocor belongs to a class of drugs called HMG-CoA Reducatase Inhibitors. This class of drugs inhibits the enzyme in the liver responsible for endogenous production(cholesterol you make rather than absorb in your diet). Generally, it works a great deal better than the 10-15% you experiences. I would agree with the Lipitor, since it is a better inhibitor milligram for milligram. But, you may get similar results. So, what do I do with the Alt attribute?

Accessible Web Design - Frequently Asked Questions
Like any HTML attribute, to use an Alt tag, you need to put it inside the Img element. What should I use as the Alt text?

Accessible Web Design - Frequently Asked Questions
A good piece of advice I once heard is that you should think of the Alt text as the thing that you would say, if you were describing the image to someone over the phone. Both the length and treatment of the description depends of the particular image and on what role the image plays in the point you are making. There are four different types of images (that I have identified), each deserves a different treatment in respect to its Alt tag. See similar questions...

What are ALT Tags?

EASYRealtySites.com
ALT Tags are image associated titles. Whenever you add an image you can add a title to it. Since search engines can't pick up images on a site, HTML designers have developed a short line of code, "ALT", to make up for this. The Alt Tag adds text to the picture. When the Search Engine spider begins crawling, it will look at not only the content, titles, and meta tags of your site but the alt tags as well rather than neglecting them as it would with images without alt tags present.
