Delegates enrolled in a People to People Ambassador Program are automatically enrolled in a high school academic credit course offered by the Washington School of World Studies. The academic emphasis of this course is focused upon the total learning experience encountered while preparing for and participating in a People to People Ambassador Program. To successfully receive credit for this course, the student must exhibit a comprehensive range of social and academic skills.

The Illinois School credit is available to IL residents with children attending Kindergarten through High School. It is available on line 21 on the IL 1040 form and utilizes IL Schedule ED. You do not have to attend private schools to claim this credit! However, you do need to have more than $250.00 in qualified expenses. Your credit is equal to 25% of your expenses over $250.00. The credit is also limited to $500.00 per family.

We have had numerous high school students use our ASL classes for high school and college credits. The classes are offered for CEUs (Continuing Education Units) for educators and CEs (Continuing Education Contact Hours) for nurses. However, we cannot grant high school credit ourselves.
