It is too impractical and costly to do after-factory conversions of gasoline fueled vehicles to E-85 vehicles. Since the combustion of ethanol and gasoline is different, different engine electronic systems are required, and need to be installed at the time of manufacture.

In the US, there are several hundred E85 pumps across the country. In Canada, there currently are no E85 stations. To service the government fleet of flexible fuel vehicles, there is one filling station at Natural Resources Canada at 580 Booth Street in Ottawa; however, it is not for use by the general public. Model cars run about the same guidelines as boats. A good commercially made glow fuel with at least 18% oil content by volume, not by weight. You will need 2 control ballasts, 2 ignitor units, special high voltage wiring, and 2 HID light sources. This is the bare minimum to allow the HID system to work. All imported turbo cars need to run on premium unleaded. We especially recommend using the new Shell OPTIMAX fuel or BP Ultimate 98.
