The new Scarlet Page Control provides a better status check of the Service as well as the ability to query the status from the client directly. On the Service tab of the Control, the "Status" area shows the current status of the service - usually Running or Stopped. If the service is Running, then it should be maintaining an IPC connection to the Control. This is verified by the "Communication Status" window. You should see a "Service: Connected" status message.
