If it does and the skin does not absorb it and creates a greasy film on top of the skin...then it is mostly soy wax. Does it have color? If it does, then it more than likely has some sort of a wax product in it for the color to adhere to. For the most part, dyes in candles are not skin safe.

No, it is made from a paper blend. You may notice that the candle smoke upon extinguishing. This is due to the high level of pure essential organic oils that the candle contains. To reduce the amount of smoke, keep the wick trimmed and re-cover the lid when extinguishing.

Wax is put on the brackets so that there is minimal contact between the cheeks and the brackets. I personally wouldn't use it much when I first get the braces on, due to the fact that your lips/cheeks are going to have to toughen up and get used to the brackets sometime.
