Since Scenic Land students have siblings at private, public and parochial school, as do children of the faculty and staff, we look at all school calendars before determining our calendar. We try to accomodate our families and faculty by alternating spring break days from year to year.

Tuition paid on a monthly basis earns two free weeks credit per year. A semi-monthly tuition payment plan earns one free week per year. The free weeks are calculated into the year's tuition and apply only to children enrolled in our year around toddler and preschool classes. Tuition for children enrolled in our school age program and Developmental Kindergarten is based on the child's set schedule and is expected regardless of sick or vacation days.

To enter days off call for a given Doctor, go to the Day Off Scheduler (Scheduling, Day Off Scheduler, Month View), and select the Range button. Select the days you want, click Next, select the Day Off Type, then select the Provider. The calender will refresh with the updated information in it. The Day Off Month View will let you easily see all the Day Off Types for all the Providers at once. If this happens, we suggest that you “undo” one of the designations.

Every department has an attendance and leave coordinator who is charged with maintaining a leave record for all faculty and staff employees in their department. This leave record will show all leave balances, including leave accrued and used for each pay period. Current listings of job opportunities can be found here. Sick - Non-probationary, full-time staff are allowed one sick day for each month of service. Employees, who work during the academic year, but not in the summer, are allowed sick time at the same accrual rate but only for actual months worked. Non-probationary, part-time staff are allowed pro-rated sick days. Sick hours are accrued and credited bi-weekly. Vacation - Vacation time is determined by your date of hire.

Childcare tuition covers preschool, kindergarten, and elementary school days according to the Bellevue School District calendar. Tuition includes teachers optional work days, conference days, and Mid-Winter break for CP5, CP3, CP2, EA5, ED5, and AP5 programs. Winter break, spring break and summer vacation are not included in the tuition, but childcare is available at an additional fee with advance reservation at selected locations.

We will close on all statutory holidays. We will also close on Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Boxing Day which are not statutory holidays in PEI . We will close for the week of Christmas and Boxing Day. We will close at noon on New Year's Eve (depends on what day it falls on.)
