Seek areas away from city or home lights and give your eyes a few minutes to get adapted to the dark. Whenever stars are readily visible, Jasper's beam is easily seen. Don't shine Jasper at the horizon unless you are certain that no houses or people are within the area. While Jasper's light is fun for those using it, others may find it annoying or distracting.

Trees are simple in that slings can easily be wrapped around large branches. Once the slings are in place, a block and tackle or hoist can be easily attached.

Jasper is located in the center of Jasper National Park, 365 km west of Edmonton along Highway 16. The townsite is 415 km northwest of Calgary via the Trans Canada Highway and Highway 93 (the beautiful Icefields Parkway). Driving time is 4 hours from Edmonton and 5 hours from Calgary. Highways 16 and 5 connect Jasper to points in British Columbia. For those not driving, there is Greyhound bus service to Jasper from Edmonton three times each day.

You will need to erect some form of stable structure. One of the fastest and most stable boxes can be built from scaffolding that is easily rented in any major city. Although there have been a lot of people designing freestanding suspension frames, it really seems at this point that scaffolding is the cheapest, easiest, and safest way to do it.

CFLs can be used in outdoor fixtures provided that they are not exposed to the elements (rain or snow). They can also operate in temperatures as low as –15oC (-5oF).

Just before you go out, pre-heat the liquid Thermo-Pad in a sink of hot water. (the hotter the better) Store the pad as close to your body as possible (don't activate the pad) and you can use this heat to keep you warm as the pad cools. Once the pad has cooled to a point where you are getting cold, activate the liquid pad and it will heat to keep you warm longer.

Please do not! Indoor lotions usually DO NOT contain SPF, which will leave you with no sun protection from the sun's UV rays. Outdoor UV rays can vary daily even hourly in intensity. It is recommended you use a SPF while tanning outdoors.

The data from the GPS receiver (coordinates and heading) is always available and you can always get a map with a surrounding area. In the future we will look into the possibility of providing sea maps.

Our systems are well suited for indoor, greenhouse, or outdoor use. With virtually no exposed grow media, all nutrient liquid is contained within the unit and is available for use by the plant. Cleanliness is maintained, and evaporation is reduced to losses due to plant transpiration only. The closed system is not open to contamination, and runs perfectly clean. System operation is the same, regardless of whether the unit is indoors or outdoors.

The chocolate fountain is for indoor use only. The slightest breeze causes disruption to the flow of chocolate. In fact, it is preferable to be clear of open windows & doors too.

We recommend that if you require the scoreboard for outdoor use, that you first consider the Seven Segment or Flip Dot display scoreboard because of the light reflective properties of the digits and wide viewing angles. However, we also can supply LED scoreboards for outdoor use that use high brightness LED's, but this will not give the wide viewing angles that are available with the seven segment displays or flip dot display units and bright daylight conditions could affect the visibility.

stated above, our sconces are rated for "damp location only" and as such can only be used outdoors where they will be under cover. This is a UL designation and its application is up to the buyer. Obviously, there are places in the world where direct rain impingement is not really a consideration.

Jasper is an impure form of cryptocrystalline quartz (a fine grained variety). It is related to agate, chalcedony, flint, and chert. It commonly will contain a significant amount of iron oxide and hydroxide minerals. Open veins in the rock will often have water solutions percolating through faults. Under certain conditions, the dissolved ion content of the water becomes supersaturated and minerals will precipitate out( similar to "hard" water).

Jasper has a maximum nominal output power of 5mw (milliwatts), which is the maximum allowed for a Class IIIa laser. A milliwatt is 1/1000 of a watt, so Jasper uses only a tiny fraction of the power required by everyday household lamps. Because all of Jasper's energy in concentrated into a tiny area, its beam is amazingly bright. We individually test each laser before shipment and promise that your Jasper will exceed 4mw of power under normal operating circumstances.

Most Tablet PCs won't be readable outdoors in bright light. Some available models have an option for an indoor/outdoor display, such as Fujitsu, Motion, and some ruggedized models. If you use a computer in bright lights or outdoors, these screens are highly recommended.
