What is Pseudocatalase (Pcat)?

Pseudocatalase, also called Pcat for short, is a cream, that is applied twice a day, and purported to reduce epidermal hydrogen peroxide in vitiliginous skin, found to be in higher levels in those with vitiligo. Pseudocatalase is usually done in combination with narrow band UVB light therapy. Pseudocatalase does not make the skin more sun sensitive. The original formula is only available from Germany. There have been no independent studies of Pseudocatalse to support its effectiveness.
