UB SoPPS does not have a minimum PCAT requirement. The average PCAT score of students admitted in the past few years has been around 350. UB SoPPS considers the Percentile Rank (not Scaled Scores). The sum of each item under the Percentile Rank (Verbal Ability, Biology, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, and Chemistry) determines the score (not the Composite score).

UACP considers the candidate’s composite percentile score in the admission process and considers only the highest score if more than one test result is submitted. The minimum composite PCAT score required to receive serious consideration is the 50th percentile.

When taking the PCAT, you must indicate to Harcourt that they should send your scores to PharmCAS. We will then receive your PCAT scores on your PharmCAS application. Early Assurance and EOP students must have their PCAT scores sent directly to UB SoPPS.

For admission to UT, the minimum PCAT composite score is the 40th percentile, with no individual subject area less than the 25th percentile. However, these scores are not competitive. For the class admitted in Fall 2006, the average PCAT score was 75th percentile.

Pseudocatalase, also called Pcat for short, is a cream, that is applied twice a day, and purported to reduce epidermal hydrogen peroxide in vitiliginous skin, found to be in higher levels in those with vitiligo. Pseudocatalase is usually done in combination with narrow band UVB light therapy. Pseudocatalase does not make the skin more sun sensitive. The original formula is only available from Germany. There have been no independent studies of Pseudocatalse to support its effectiveness.

The PCAT is administered by Harcourt Assessment three times per year: in June, October, and January. We recommend that applicants take the PCAT in either summer or fall so their scores can be sent to PharmCAS and their applications completed as quickly as possible.

While test scores are part of our assessment of candidates for both programs, applicants are assessed on multiple criteria. A score of 400 on each subtest is required for an interview, however, and the successful applicant usually scores close to 500 on each subtest. No, all graduates of the MA program in School Psychology must apply separately to the Ed.S. program. This includes completing another application form, paying the application fee, and collecting two letters of recommendation.

There is no minimum score for the GRE or GMAT. You may wish to check with the program to see if your score is competitive. The minimum score for the TOEFL is 213 on the computer-based test and 550 on the paper-based test. Some departments require a higher score. -- Back to Top.

Admission will be on an individual basis, with a cut-off GPA of 2.75 required to be considered. A 50% composite PCAT score and above will factor into the interview process.

Students must achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5/4.0 or its equivalent in order to have their applications considered for admission.

Applicants whose cumulative grade point average is less than required may submit additional documentation that demonstrates academic potential. For example, applicants interested in pursuing a BSN may submit American College Test (ACT) or Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) scores, while applicants interested in pursuing a graduate degree might submit Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores.

The clinical psychology program has established no firm “cut-off” scores—other than the minimum grade point average required by the university—for admission to the program. All applications are evaluated individually on a case-by-case basis. However, our program receives applications from more individuals than we have the resources to admit. Space and financial considerations therefore require us to deny admission to a number of otherwise qualified candidates.

What we are most interested in is the applicant's research potential. These scores are just one of many criteria we consider. There are no minimum scores. We much prefer students who have taken challenging advanced courses to those with top scores on rudimentary courses. There are many ways for applicants to demonstrate their research potential.

If your native language is not English, you must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). You may be excused if you have studied for two or more years in or received a degree from a college or university in a country where English is the language of instruction and where English is also the native language. Cornell’s graduate school sets a minimum passing grade of 550 for the paper exam and 213 for the computer exam. Some engineering fields have higher minimums.

You must earn 173 on reading, 172 on math, and 172 on writing. You might want to go ahead and take Praxis I now, so you will have that requirement out of the way. Just go to http://www.ets.org for more information about Praxis I.

Based on past accepted applicants, the median scores fall into the 80th percentile for each section of the general GRE exam. For information on the GRE please visit the official website at www.gre.org.

While Rutgers University does have a preferred minimum score for the GRE's, it is possible that a student will excel in one area and perform slightly below the desired score in another, or that the applicant's total GRE score is below the desired score, but that other aspects of the student's application ( undergraduate and graduate GPA's, research or teaching experience, publications etc) are very strong. Such applicants may be acceptable to the Program.

SIMS has not set any minimum scores, but normally successful applicants score in the high percentiles (80's and 90's) on the General Test.
