For the incoming class of 2006, 75% have an undergraduate GPA of 3.66 or higher, the median GPA was 3.78, and the median LSAT score was 168.

There are no specific undergraduate course requirements for admission to graduate study, but courses such as introductory psychology, statistics, and experimental psychology and/or research methods are preferred. For doctoral students, the means and ranges have been approximately 600 (500-710) verbal, 625 (500-750 quantitative, and 645 (510-780) analytical.

We do not use an admissions formula or index system when we evaluate applicants, nor is there a floor below which we will not consider a candidate. That said, the University of Michigan Law School is very selective, and the LSAT is an important -- though not dispositive -- factor in our consideration of an applicant. The median LSAT score for the 2007 entering class is 169 (97 th percentile) and the 25th and 75th percentiles for the class are 167 and 170, respectively.

The minimum score our department will accept for the computer based TOEFL is 250 (or equivalent for paper or internet based TOEFL). There are no established minimum requirements for the GPA or GRE. The average GPA of the students that were accepted into our program in recent years was 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale). Typically our students have scored above the 60th percentile on the GRE.

Each year the admissions committee sets goals for the future entering class. For the Entering Class of 2008, the LSAT 25th percentile goal is 149 and 3.0 GPA. The more competitive candidates will submit an averaged LSAT score that meets the 25th percentile goal or higher. Those who do not meet these goals are generally delayed or denied.

The range of GRE scores for the verbal section was 640-750 and 600-800 for the quantitative section. The average GRE score for the verbal section was 664 and 760 for the quantitative section. The average GPA for students entering the program was 3.7.

LSAT scores are just one piece of information considered by Indiana CLEO. In order to receive your scores in time, we recommend applicants take the LSAT no later than December of the year before the student will begin law classes. No. LSAT scores and grades are considered, but there is no specific requirement. LSAT scores and grade point averages sufficient to warrant admission to an Indiana law school are acceptable.

Law schools use your percentile ranking to determine where your score places you in comparison to your competition. More than 50 percent of test takers receive scores between 145 and 159, although this range represents less than one-quarter of the possible scaled scores. A score of 160 or above would put you in an elite group.

The LSAT will only be accepted from applicants pursuing a joint degree program with Harvard Law School. Applicants to Harvard’s joint program must request in writing that Harvard Law School send their LSAT scores sent to the Kennedy School Admissions Office. The MCAT will only be accepted from applicants pursuing a joint degree program with Harvard Medical School.

Completion of the LSAT is required for admission into the Charleston School of Law. LSAT scores will be accepted up to five years from the original date of the test. Multiple LSAT scores will be averaged.

Because our students set their own schedules and train at their own paces, it’s hard to generalize. However, if you plan on training full-time, you can expect to spend four hours a day in formal training. Our training day is divided into two-hour blocks that begin at 7 a.m. Scheduling is done at your convenience. On a typical day, you will have a flight during one of these blocks.

We do not have a specific cut-off point. However, these two factors are very important when we review a student's application. Other factors we consider include the personal statement, work experience, volunteer experiences, life experience, internships and letters of recommendation.

Answer: In 2007-08, the median GPA (the GPA held by the student at the middle of the first-year class), is 3.45. The GPA at the 75th percentile of the first-year class is 3.68 and at the 25th percentile, the GPA is 3.27. The median LSAT score is 158. The 75th percentile for the LSAT is 160; the 25th percentile is 156.

Law schools also take into account leadership positions you have held since high school, work experience, volunteer experience, your personal statement, your letters of recommendation and anything else personal that distinguishes you from other applicants.

Each recommender should evaluate the following attributes of the applicant: academic performance, research experience, motivation and perseverance, speaking and writing skills, strengths and weaknesses; the recommender should also state their relationship to the applicant. The three letters of recommendation should be written by professional or academic references.

What we are most interested in is the applicant's research potential. These scores are just one of many criteria we consider. There are no minimum scores. We much prefer students who have taken challenging advanced courses to those with top scores on rudimentary courses. There are many ways for applicants to demonstrate their research potential.

We normally tell students they should be in the B+ range to be competitive. The admission process incorporates 1) overall GPA; 2) prerequisite GPA; and 3) GRE score. Each of these areas is weighted equally. Thereby, the applicant could remain in the competitive range if they were low in one area i.e. overall GPA and up in the other two. Historically, applicants with GRE scores below 900 are not competitive.

The average MCAT score of matriculants is a 30. The total GPA and science GPA are in the 3.5 to 3.6 range.
