Use the SetConsoleTextAttribute function. This takes a handle to the console (use GetStdHandle(STD_OUTPUT_HANDLE) to obtain it) and a colour value. You can obtain different colours through different combinations of the constants FOREGROUND_BLUE, FOREGROUND_GREEN, FOREGROUND_RED, FOREGROUND_INTENSITY, BACKGROUND_BLUE, BACKGROUND_GREEN, BACKGROUND_RED, and BACKGROUND_INTENSITY.

When you click on show code on the graphical elements page you can click the custom tab. This will create a basic text link and you can change the text. You will need basic HTML skills to change the font or colour.

If you want to do this, all you have to do is create a file called .signature in your home directory, edit that file, and save it. The standard Windows font selection dialog box allows you to select a colour for a font. Interface text is altered using the MediaWiki namespace. The icons are individual graphics that you can delete or replace with graphics of your own. Delete an icon by selecting it with the mouse then pressing the "delete" key on your keyboard. The user interface text is put into pages in the special MediaWiki namespace. When logged in as a sysop, you can edit those pages to immediately change the output of the wiki. Some configuration changes (like changing $wgSitename to set the wiki's name) don't affect the pages which were generated at install time. You can edit them directly, or use the "rebuildMessages.php" script in the maintenance directory (it must be run from the command line and you must set up an AdminSettings.php file).
