There are some races of people on a similar level of mentality to ours, visiting us on Earth. Michel was given telepathic permission from Thiaoouba in 1995 to talk about Grays in front of TV cameras in the USA. Gray people are from a "planet of sorrows" too, and on their own planet they have completely lost their immune system, as a consequence of their "civilized" activities. Simply speaking they are going extinct very quickly.

Fake alarms: there is no invasion. There can't be. Earth is extremely close to a global catastrophe, and therefore is a very unlikely destination for anyone intelligent. Scare tactics are used just to exercise control over people, because fear completely blocks logical reasoning.

Yes. But it is also possible that there is an invisible snorg reading this over your shoulder right now. Basically, some astronomers (e.g. Carl Sagan) are convinced that there are other habitable planets in our galaxy, and that there may be some form of life on them. Assuming that parallel evolution occurred on these other planets, there MIGHT be intelligent life forms there. It is possible that some of these life forms could have an advanced civilization, and perhaps have achieved space travel.

If you think about it, the only human survivor from this movie is Lex. Most likely, no one believed her story. The Weyland-Yutani Corporation probably knew of the existance of the Aliens from some time, but they chose to keep it under wraps so they could use them for their own means.

Because we do not know for certain that UFOs are spacecraft, we cannot be sure aliens are visiting the earth from other planets. Many ufologists argue that there is enough evidence to show that UFOs are really spacecraft operated by intelligent aliens. Among the reports of encounters with aliens (Close Encounters of the Third Kind, or CE-3s), there is a wide variety of descriptions. Some witnesses describe beings who look very human.

This is accomplished through a few mechanisms. Aliens can always see each other.
