By default, Wicket will not reload changed markup files. This default is a conscious decision because performance can be affected by Wicket's change detection code, which has to poll the modification dates of all your markup files at a regular interval. If you call the ApplicationSettings method setResourcePollFrequency(Duration), you can specify how frequently Wicket should poll for file changes. A Duration value of null will turn the feature back off again.

By default, basic logging is enabled in Webmin. To turn on full logging, go into the Webmin Configuration module, click on the Logging icon and turn on the Log changes made to files by each action option. This will record all file changes and commands run by Webmin. Once logging is enabled, all actions performed from then on can be viewed in the Webmin Actions Log module. Your browser has automatically gunzipped the file for you. Just rename it to webmin-1.400.

In short, use the wicket.markup.html.form.upload.FileUploadField component in your form (set as multiPart) in order to allow file uploads. The heuristic rules that it embodies continue to be refined to deal with the nuances of the various databases available via AustLII. A version of the markup scripts called UserMark is available to give users access to the markup technology.

The flash movie requests the file variables.txt when it starts. If your browser caches that file, you won't see the changes you made unless you clear your browser cache, or maybe just requesting the variables.txt file and hitting reload a couple of times. This is fixed from version 0.10 onwards. Me neither, I dream of a visual layout configuration. But I do not have the time to make it happen. Maybe in the future.

Not necessarily. IIS is our web server and it operates out of cache, which means it keeps all the websites in its memory. It refreshes that memory every fifteen minutes. If you have waited 15 minutes and you still can't see the changes, access the site in FTP and see if the new files and folders are there.

Because the configureAndWatch launches a separate wathdog thread, and because there is no way to stop this thread in log4j 1.2, the configureAndWatch method is unsafe for use in J2EE envrironments where applications are recycled.

ajc 1.0 does not support incremental compilation, but since 1.1 ajc does when passed the -incremental option. It may still recompile files that have not changed, if they could be affected by aspects in particular ways, but the files compiled should be fewer and result in faster compiles. Further, the 1.1 release supports binary weaving, so you need not recompile if you already have .class files.

The first set of documents has been made available in PDF because that was simplest way to present the information. We are exploring different display formats and the benefits and problems involved. With HTML, for example, there are formatting/display problems with math that need to be addressed systematically over a wide range of documents.
