Electricity generated by Aeroturbines can be sent to a battery bank and/or the utility grid. Because of the reliability of urban utility grids, we are currently focusing only on systems that are grid-connected. Most utilities provide net metering for grid-connected systems. Net metering compensates customers for their on-site electricity production.

The estimated rated output of the 510V is 1kW in 30 mph winds; the estimated rating for the 520H is 1.8kW. More accurate ratings will be available subsequent to further refinement of the turbine and its electronic equipment.

The new turbines expand the capacity of the Buffalo Mountain site to 29 megawatts of generation, or enough to power about 3,780 homes. The larger turbines are about 260 feet tall, and the blades are 135 feet long. They have a capacity of 1.8 megawatts each. The three original turbines, with a capacity of 660 kilowatts each, are 213 feet tall, and their blades are 75 feet long. Generally, the higher the tower, the better the access to the wind.

The island uses 110 volts, although a few hotels also having 220 volts. Take your own adaptor if you are not sure of what you will need or encounter.

Meridian Energy meets approximately one third of New Zealand's electricity needs from its nine hydro power stations in the South Island. Hydro power is a key part of the New Zealand electricity generation mix, but it is vulnerable to low rainfall and limited future development options. Developing hydro facilities requires considerable investment, major engineering work and longer lead-in times compared with developing wind farms.

Electric connections are the same as in North America - 110 volts with the same 2-3 (w/ground) flat prong connectors. All North American appliances work here without any problem. Small European appliances may require adaptors, depending on the country of origen.

In Ontario nuclear power contributes about 54% of the total electricity supply. The other two provinces with nuclear power, New Brunswick and Qu??bec, receive about 25% and 3%, respectively, of their supply from CANDU nuclear.

Electricity is supplied throughout New Zealand at 240 volts via a slant pin outlet. Hotels often provide a 110 volt socket for electric shavers only. For all other equipment, an adaptor and a converter are necessary.

Electricity is produced as the magnets of the rotors spin past the stationary wiring of the stator. This concept was discovered by scientist Michael Faraday in 1831 when he found that electricity could be created by rotating magnets within copper coils.

Larger commercial and multi-family residences typically have access to stronger winds than do single-family residences. We are therefore focusing on commercial and multi-family residential installations during this time of development.

Reflective construction materials and low-speed operation make Aeroturbines more visible to birds. There has been no reported bird mortality at any of the Aeroturbine test locations. Vertical Aeroturbines work well in winds from any direction, and therefore the presence of a dominant wind direction is not critical.

Antibodies are produced by plasma cells. The host's response to an antigenic presence can be characterized as two responses: the primary response and the secondary response. The primary response is a relatively weak response to the initial antigenic exposure. A series of specialized events during the primary response prepare the host for subsequent exposure to the same antigen. When the antigen is reintroduced, the secondary response is relatively more rapid and intense.
