You will have to restart your computer. You can restart the computer by pressing and holding the power button until the computer shuts off. If you were creating a new file and never saved it, it most likely will be lost. (some programs like microsoft word have an auto-recover feature which will restore the file as soon as you reopen word). If you were working on a saved file, you will loose any new information not previously saved. (previous statement applies in this situation as well).
