Current Sketsa release requires width and height attribute in absolute length (not percentage) in outermost svg during editing. Later, you can change the width/height attribute during the deployment. We are still looking for good solution for this problem.

Yes. Most GUI builders in the world will only read and write the code that they themselves create. Designer is an exception to that rule. It can read and write not only the code it creates, but also a great deal of code written by hand(>90%). If you come across a case that does not work, send it to us for analysis. The more broken examples that we can "fix", the better Designer will get in the long run (and the better chance you will have of salvaging your old code as-is).

svg is the appropriate extension for uncompressed SVG files. ".svgz" is the appropriate designation for .svg files that have been compressed with "GZIP". Adobe SVG Viewer decompresses .svgz files automatically with no significant difference in performance. If you use .svgz files on your site, be sure and set the mime type for it as well in your Web server.

In order to save as a svgz (compressed SVG file), on the file save dialog box, specify ".svgz" as the file extension. For example type "test.svgz" instead of "test.svg".

Inkscape natively supports opening or importing SVG, SVGZ (gzipped SVG), PDF, and AI (Adobe Illustrator) formats. With the help of extensions, Inkscape can open a number other vector formats. If you have modified the colors in the palette, save the design you are working on, then clear all data except the colors in the draft and save it as a new file. Use an obvious name such as palet01.dtx to make it easy to find in the future. Note: If the colors in the warp or weft color bars are the default values, the new palette will not be saved. You must use the new colours in the warp or weft to be saved.
