STAR assessments gain you no certifications but acknowledges the completion of a test in a certain area of knowledge. Upon completion of a STAR assessment test, you will have access to a complete skills summary screen (Report Card) documenting your performance in each subject area that you can view or print.

All Courts require you to pass tests when completing traffic school through a home-based program. The Court does allow you to look through the book to get the correct answers. If, after three attempts, you cannot pass the test, you will be referred to the Used Vehicle Dealer Education Program Provider listed on your completion certificate to determine if additional training is needed.

If a student does not receive the minimum score required on the admission test, they have three (3) options: a) Take the test again. Sometimes, if the score is close and the student feels the low score was due to test anxiety or a bad testing day, this option is the easiest and most convenient. However, this is not the option to choose if the deadline for resolving provisional admission status is near. b) Take the other admissions test. Different people will do well on different tests.
