When there is a big surge in current, you may see a dip in the voltage being supplied by the voltage source. This is sometimes called voltage droop or "the IR drop". Typically voltage droop is very bad in a system, it can cause problems in the case of supplying voltage to an AC inverter. The AC inverter has a built in protection circuit that turns the inverter off if it sees a voltage less then 11V DC.

Droop is the reduction of outlet pressure experienced by pressure-reducing regulators as the flow rate increases. It is stated as a percent, in inches of water column (mbar) or in pounds per square inch (bar) and indicates the difference between the outlet pressure setting made at low flow rates and the actual outlet pressure at the published maximum flow rate. Because of its needle shaped design, the pilots would not be able to see the runway during take-off and landing. So to help improve the view the nose is drooped down to 5 degrees for take-off and 12.5 degrees for landing, where the aircraft is pitched up at a very high angle of attack. For the receiver once it drops below 4.8V then do not fly it. This is for a 4 cell nicd pack. For the radio, 8 cell nicd, the alarm on it should go off once it goes below 9.6V. I do not have any personal experience with the use of these type batteries in the r/c hobby. The best place to find accurate information is R/C Battery Clinic. Yes, this is an issue. The signals in a Synthesizers.com modular are very 'hot' meaning they are often 20Vpp or more. These high levels help with noise reduction. Since amps and mixers are designed to deal with much smaller signals, you'll need to attenuate the signals from the synth to prevent clipping. This is very easy since most synth patches end with a VCA (Q108 Amplifier). Simply use the Control #1 attenuator to reduce the output level to whatever you need. See similar questions...
