CenTradeXThe Harmonized Code classifies the manufactured items and commodities in transnational shipments in numeric categories that range from very broad two-digit categories to very specific 10-digit categories. Customs uses the Harmonized Code, or Harmonized System, to determine what duties (tariffs), taxes and clearance requirements apply to shipments.
