Water cure all Rapid Set® Mortar Mix installations. The objective of water curing is to maintain a wet surface until the product has achieved sufficient strength. Begin curing as soon as the surface has lost it's moist sheen and continue for a minimum of 1 hour.

Use for grouting, anchoring, leveling, and general concrete repair. Simply mix with water and it will reach STRUCTURAL STRENGTH IN 1 HOUR!

Rapid Set® DOT Repair Mix™ is a blend of high-performance Rapid Set® Hydraulic Cement with an ASTM concrete grade sand, air entrainment and a high range water reducer. This product can be mixed neat or extended up to 100% with a concrete grade course aggregate. It provides rapid strength gain, high durability and low/no shrinkage for horizontal concrete repairs. Simply mix with water and it will achieve structural strength in excess of 3000 psi in one hour.

You should choose a mortar that is more vapour permeable and less dense that the stone or brickwork into which is being put to ensure that it reduces the decay of this stone or brick as much as possible. The sheep’s wool insulation that we supply is treated with natural materials that prevent it from degrading or being damaged by pests or fungal attack. It also resists damp exceptionally well. It works on the sheep and it works in your buildings.

Rapid Set DOT Repair mix can be mixed neat or extended 100% with a course aggregate. This allows the user flexibility to repair thin to thick horizontal applications with one product by simply choosing to use neat or extending with an aggregate. This product is a structural concrete providing 3000 psi in one hour, 5000 psi in 3 hours. To meet the environment demands of exterior road and bridge placements, Rapid Set® DOT Repair Mix™ is air entrained.

Begin water curing as soon as the surface has lost its moist sheen and continue for a minimum of one hour. Sealers can be applied after water curing if desired.

Rapid Set® cement gains strength much faster than portland cement. In most cases, material made using Rapid Set® cement can be put into service in as little as one hour. Rapid Set® cement mixes will obtain strengths in 1 day, that an equivalent portland cement mix will take 1 month to achieve.

Rapid Set® reduces the waiting time prior to coating. Under dry conditions, water based coatings such as latex paint can be applied after the products is hardened and dry which usually takes 1 to 4 hours. Solvent based and Impermeable coatings such as oil based paint and epoxy can be applied in 16 hours. Experience has shown that some coatings can be applied in much less time. Follow the coating manufacturer's recommendations for surface condition.

Rapid Set? Stucco Mix is a blend of high-performance Rapid Set? Cement quality plaster sand, and high performance additives. It is used for exterior plastering where rapid strength gain, high durability, low shrinkage, and reduced cracking are desired. Use in horizontal, vertical, and overhead plaster projects. Stucco Mix can be scratch, browned, or applied at full ?" depth and color coated the same day.

Begin curing as soon as the surface has lost it's moist sheen and continue for a minimum of 90 minutes.

The mortar mix can vary, depending upon the sand used and other factors, however a typical mortar mix in the Perth region is 6 parts good sharp yellow brickies sand, 1 part lime and 1 part of cream (off-white) cement.

Obviously, you want to avoid the kind of damage described above, and in order to accurately recreate the original mortar you typically have to have the mortar analyzed. Although a building constructed before 1871 was undoubtedly pointed with lime mortar (because portland cement wasn't even available until that year) the years after 1871 are a grey area.

You may be told you are a rapid cycler, or it might be you are in a chat and hear someone say they are rapid cycling. This is when a person will have a mood swing, but instead of the mood staying for a longer time, their mood swings back. Every person has a mood cycle. An average mood cycle is four or less in a year. It is a slow process. A rapid cycle can happen in a matter of a few hours, and cycle back again.
