When will I know the results of AIM-HIGH?
FAQ | AIM-HIGH Cholesterol Management ProgramAIM-HIGH will take a total of four - six years to complete. After patients have completed all their study visits the researchers will compile all the results, run a statistical analysis, and review all the findings. Your AIM-HIGH doctor will receive a copy of the final report and you will receive a letter explaining all the results of the five-year cholesterol management program. At this time you will also receive a letter letting you know if you were taking the Niaspan® or the placebo.
Will anyone else know the results of my test?

Preliminary results will be sent promptly to your physician and a detailed written report of the procedure, findings, and results will follow within several days. Your physician will then call you to discuss the results. Urgent results will be telephoned immediately to your doctor.

When Will I Know The Results Of My Mammogram?
Norwalk Radiology & Mammography Center: Mammography FAQOnce your exam is complete, a Radiologist will carefully evaluate the images and meticulously compare your current mammogram with prior exams in looking for any slight change. If your mammogram is normal you will be contacted directly by mail with your normal results, and your physician will receive a written report. Should you need any additional imaging to clarify a finding on your mammogram, we will call you within 3 business days of your mammogram to schedule a follow-up appointment.

Results are usually available in about ten days. Generally, parents are notified only if there is a problem. You can ask about the results when you bring your baby to the doctor or clinic for a regular checkup.

Participant InfoAll aspects of the study, including results, will be strictly confidential. The researchers will not be able to identify individuals. If you agree to participate you will be asked to make up a personal 6 digit/character code which will be used on your survey responses. Your individual code will be used to identify your responses to the survey, thus ensuring anonymity, so we can remove it from our data collection if you wish to withdraw from the study.
