No. Editing in MacVCD X for basics (removing commercials or making a favorite scenes reference movie) is all that this feature is intended to accomplish. Its not designed to let you do general purpose editing of VCD content.

You may adjust the alpha-settings of the clip-property to get proper transparency. Depending your hardware, imported titles have to be rendered. Like internal titles, preview does flicker on 25% and 50% views, but this is related how FCP shows the image on the monitor and has no influence to the final output.

You can't use iMovie with a DCam webcam directly because the application accepts only DV input (camcorders). There is a free application called FrameSplicer that will allow you to convert QuickTime movies into DV streams that you can then open in iMovie. The Macam Webcam drivers do not play nicely with the IOXperts drivers. Do not install a Macam driver at the same time as any IOXperts video driver.

Traditionally, in Final Cut Pro you are supposed to log your tapes before capturing them. This means that you watch your tapes, and set in and out points of the data to capture. This has the advantage of minimizing the amount of disk space you use, but it's horribly time-consuming and very hard on your tape transport. Thanks to today's enormous disks, it's a lot easier to just use "Capture Now" to capture the entire tape. You can then split it into start/stop points automatically.

Your video is transferred to DVD exactly as is. We do not edit your video or delete any dead footage unless you have ordered Premium package!

To use PixelToy with iMovie, you'll need QuickTime Pro (the $30 paid-for registered version of normal QuickTime). I suggest having the PixelToy window set to 720 x 480 pixels (set in PixelToy's Preferences). Use the "Create Movie..." command from PixelToy's File menu -- normally you will want to use a "Fixed Frame Rate", then after you name your clip you can set other parameters for your movie. Here I suggest "Photo - JPEG" compression with the quality set to almost "Best".
