Transfer Bandwidth is generally described as a monthly allocation of file transfers. Transfer bandwidth is used whenever a file is accessed, uploaded or downloaded. At Simpload we only monitor transfer bandwidth, utilizing scripts only to red flag high bandwidth users.

Bandwidth/Transfer is a measurement taken monthly for hosting accounts that includes all through put for a domain. This includes all FTP updates and web requests.

If you go over your daily transfer limit (70GB) we will take your site offline for the rest of the day. We never charge heavy overage fees as many other hosting companies do - with dotspirit your costs are fixed!

These are terms used to measure the amount of data sent from web site hosting servers to computers requesting that data. When someone visits your website and clicks on a link or submits a form, they are requesting the transfer of data. Our experience has shown that 2000 to 4000 mb of bandwidth or transfer is generous enough to accommodate most business and personal websites.

A TRANSFER LIMIT is the amount of information that you may transmit from your site. In other words, each time a picture or HTML page is viewed by a visitor, it uses a little bit of your transfer limit. All accounts come with a specific transfer limit and you will be charged for exceeding this limit. The average HIT is approximately 10k. This would mean that a transfer limit of 1.0 Gigabyte would allow 100,000 hits, a limit of 2.5 Gigabytes would allow 250,000 hits, and a limit of 5.

You will be contacted by email or by phone if you exceed your bandwidth transfer for the month. Bandwidth transfer overages are billed at US$2/1GB/month.

You will be allowed to use as much bandwidth as allotted by the hosting plan that you choose to purchase.

Bandwidth transfer is calculated by totaling both your inbound and outbound traffic together for the entire month.

There is no official restriction on bandwidth usage. However, we reserve the right to terminate an account if it is using so much bandwidth that it is slowing down our server and causing problems for other users.

Each site is allotted 50 GigaBytes of bandwidth per month. That is enough for about 50,000 visitors per week depending on the site and what downloading options are being exercised. More bandwidth is available for an extra charge.

In general, any outward bound traffic from a web site, with the exception of e-mail, is considered to be data transfer. Every time a person visits your site every web page, image, midi file, quicktime video, etc. is viewed, data transfer is generated. Our hosting plans include a generous amount of free data transfer which should be more than enough for most sites.

Bandwidth/Transfer is the amount of data the server will allow your site to send in a month. Transfer is usually measured in gigabytes - billions of bytes.

Our web hosting plan allows a full 50 GB of data transfer per month (sometimes referred to as bandwidth). That roughly equates to 5 million "hits" or "visits" per month. But that is a generalization. The number of hits your website can have in a month depends on the size of the web pages being viewed. If someone visits your home page, and your home page takes up 100 KB of storage space, then 100 KB of bandwidth has been used. That holds true each time anyone visits that home page.
