When the boots have dried overnight, rub the suede with the same (dry) fingernail brush to brush up the nap of the suede. Note: If the suede becomes smooth you can very lightly sand the shiny area with some 120 grit sand paper to bring back up the nap. Do this before cleaning. Be very careful not to sand too deep and avoid the stitching.
