First, if you are concerned about the possibility of OHSS you should call your clinic as soon as reasonably possible. OHSS (Ovarian HyperStimulation Syndrome) is when you have an unusually large number of mature follicles that release. When these follicles release, there is an unusually high concentration of estrogen-rich fluid in the peritoneal cavity, and the ovaries are generally enlarged far beyond their usual plum size - in some cases, they can swell to softball size.

This is a condition in which many follicles are produced and cause accumulation of fluid in the abdomen and sometimes in the chest. The abdominal fluid causes bloating. The fluid in the chest causes breathlessness. This condition is usually temporary. However women with poly cystic ovaries have an increased sensitivity to FSH and are more susceptible to severe hyperstimulation.

In mild cases of OHSS, doctors advise patients to avoid intercourse and get a lot of bed rest. OHSS usually resolves itself spontaneously with the onset of menstruation. If more severe symptoms occur, hospitalization may be necessary. Your healthcare provider will advise you on the risks of OHSS.

There are no symptoms at all for early ovarian cancer (Stage I and II), because it is a slow growing process and doesn't cause pain. Advanced cancers have symptoms, however, usually including abdominal fullness and feeling full and not hungry all of the time. Increasing abdominal girth can also be a late sign because of fluid in the abdominal cavity. I can't give you an exact number on that in the 30's, it would probably be in the order of less than 1 in a thousand.
