To safely remove grease or oil stains from concrete pavers use a product specifically designed to do just that. An excellent product for this is Techni-Seal's Dirt and Grease Cleaner. It dissolves, dislodges, and encapsulates grease and oil so that it can be rinsed away. This is packaged in 2 quart containers and is available at most of our Authorized Hardscaping Centers. If you want to seal your pavers to help prevent future staining, we recommend sealers from Techni-Seal and SureBond.

Obviously oil and grease are the enemies of adhesion. If they are not permanently removed the strip will not adhere to those areas, and, with the movement of the traffic, it will move, often taking with it other pieces nearby. Particular attention should be paid to places where buses and lorries are likely to stop and spill drops of oil from the engine (e.g. at traffic lights).

If the stain is one or two pavers, replacing them with new pavers is the easiest way. Depending on the paver, some can be flipped over rather than replaced. For our recommendation on the right cleaner to use for your particular application, contact us.

I use a homemade brew that works very well, and is inexpensive. It removes grease and cleans up without streaks. K2R is a very good oil-soaker; used after a fuel tank incident in fuselages, it does a good job. However, California has just -expanded- the list of illegal chemicals to keep us safe from ourselves.. I haven't seen any at Albertson's for close to a year. K2R can be found in Wal-Mart.

The OzzyMat will trap the large solid particles and the rest will be rinsed through the OzzyMat and into the fluid reservoir in the base of the SmartWasher. The Ozzies in the reservoir will eat away at the hydrocarbons, breaking them down into carbon dioxide (which is dispersed into the atmosphere as a gas) and water (which goes back into solution and eventually evaporates). This combination of the OzzyMat and Ozzy leaves you with nothing but clean solution to work with.

Yes, once the floor or any surface is sealed the surface can be impervious (not allowing entrance or passage) to many chemicals including: salt, petrochemicals, UV radiation, and water. This makes decorative concrete flooring an excellent choice for any interior or exterior especially driveways and garage floors. Of course you don't want to leave any spills on the surface for a long period of time.

Oil and grease stains can be difficult to remove completely because they penetrate the concrete surface rapidly. If an oil spill occurs, stop it spreading by encircling with sand, dirt or sawdust. Soak up as much surface oil or grease as possible with an absorbent cloth or powder. Cover residue stain with a poultice made of 1 part lime to 2 parts mineral turpentine. Spread a 5mm layer of the paste over the stained area ensuring a margin of 50 to 100mm around edges.

Techni-Seal's Dirt and Grease Cleaner is recommended by manufacturers. There are also other similar products that will work too.

Once activated, Ozzy and his friends are constantly eating. The rate at which the hydrocarbons will be remediated is approximately 80% every 7 days, assuming the system is operating optimally (fluid temperature between 100 and 110 degrees F, OzzyMat changed monthly). Oil and grease analyses performed on used SmartWasher fluid consistently average around 1400 parts per million (versus used non-bioremediating aqueous cleaners that average 20,000 parts per million or more).

Stains can be removed from concrete with dry or mechanical methods, or by wet methods using chemical or water. Common dry methods include sandblasting, flame cleaning and shotblasting, grinding, scabbing, planing and scouring. Steel-wire brushes should be used with care because they can leave metal particles on the surface that later may rust and stain the concrete. Wet methods involve the application of water or specific chemicals according to the nature of the stain.

More often than not, YES! Let the stained item soak in a solution of Stain Solver liquid overnight. If the stain is still there, increase the concentration and try it again. Continue to increase the concentration until you succeed or fail. Remember, you have NOTHING to loose. Until such time as the stain is removed from the garment, it is headed for the rag pile.

Stains are simply different molecules. If you break apart a molecule you change its nature and it no longer produces color or a stain. The Stain Solver oxygen ion actually attacks and blasts apart stain molecules. Soaps simply try to "lift" stain molecules out of a fabric and transport them to your drainpipe. Most soaps can't lift all of the stain from a fabric.

Soak the stained garment in cold water as soon as possible. We’ve found that Axion® or Biz® "prewashes" or the liquid detergent ERA® PLUS are often effective.* Although we cannot be sure what caused the stain, it may have been due to the iron in the infant formula. We remove most of the stains. Sometimes, there are some stains that cause discoloration of the carpet. In this case we are unable to remove the stain.

While our pre-moistened hand wipes are excellent for on-the-spot cleaning of grease, oil, and grime, they are not intended to be applied to the face. We recommend that they be used for the clean-up of hands and other non-porous surfaces instead.

DEPENDS ON THE NATURE OF THE STAIN There are two types of stains - those that are in the intermolecular spaces or voids of plasatics . and those that become part of the actual polymeric material of the plastic or other material to be cleaned (essentially "dying" the material) Dealing with the first example, rust clearly is water-related and produces stains in gelcoat or vinyl only in so far as it penetrates the pores and voids.

If you need to remove stubborn stains from the pan, we recommend Dip-it® cleaning solution. There may be other stain removing products on the market. Check the cleaning product aisle at your local grocer.

Red wine stains are easiest to remove if they are still wet. If you can't deal with the problem immediately, lay a wet towel over the carpet area or put the affected clothing to soak until you can treat it.
