It's virtually unknown for rafters to experience seasickness. The rapids are exciting but short, and the up-and-down motion of the raft is too brief to bother most people. Most of our trip is spent on calm water, where you can relax and enjoy the ever-changing scenery.

Most people are not affected but there may occur rough sea or the constant motion of the ship might bother you. So if you are susceptible to seasickness you should take some medication, just in case. Top

This situation is hard to predict. In fact you may be the best judge based on previous experience. If you are worried about seasickness check with your local pharmacist for special medication before you leave home. If you are new to yacht chartering, let the crew know; they will make your trip as comfortable as possible by recommending routes in protected waters and keeping tabs on changing weather conditions

The Balearics are renowned for their calm waters. In the unlikely event of seasickness, we have a stock of anti-seasickness pills on board. If you are prone to seasickness, bring patches or pills that you can take prior to boarding.

For those extremely concerned, take Avil, Kwells, Scopalamine (patches available in USA) or similar tablets early on the day of travel. It is a good idea to try these tablets prior to travel to see how they affect you and to be familiar with any side affects they may cause (normally slight drowsiness). There are also natural ginger motion sickness tablets available over the counter of any pharmacy. Remain in your cabin if feeling queasy, and try to sleep in a prone position.

It's unlikely. Bateaux New York operates in New York Harbor, on the Hudson River and the East River, which are all very calm bodies of water. What's more, our ship is very stable, so in most cases, you can hardly tell that we're moving.
