Yes! The Brakelock II (BX88141) breakaway system is installed under the hood of the towed vehicle. Pressing on the coach's brake pedal before towing charges the air reservoir. A lanyard attaches to the rear of the coach with a small hook, when the alanyard is pulled out the brakes in the towed vehicle are applied.

BrakeSafe applies the brakes in the towed vehicle proportionally to the brake effort of the towing vehicle.

No approved HIV test kit will give you a result at home. There is a kit available that is designed for you to collect a sample of your blood at home. Then you send the sample to a laboratory where it is tested for HIV.

The release point for the Cat Safety collar is approximately 5 lbs. of pressure, which is appropriate given the range of weights in cats. Although it can be frustrating to cope with lost cat collars, it is very much preferable to the alternative (not releasing when needed). Rule of thumb for fit-ting a breakaway cat collar: it should be snug enough to resist pulling over the cat's head. If it's too loose, the cat may be able to get it's jaw or paw under the collar and release the buckle.

It depends on the weight and condition of the brakes on the towed vehicle. On the average you can expect to stop in one third less distance. That means that if your combined rig requires 300 feet to stop from 60mph, by having BrakeSafe brakes on your towed vehicle you will stop in 200 feet. There are so many times that the 100 feet means a lot!

ToadStop has tow protections for break away. The most common failure is a failure of the tow components between the vehicles. During this type of failure, ToadStop is the only system that will apply braking, when the towed falls back on the tow cables. The BrakeSafe system comes in four configurations. The BX88161 and BX88143 fit all air coaches. The BX88139 and BX88140 fit coaches with hydraulics.

Yes! The fitting that was removed to install tee fittings was also used in installation. Just remove the tee and install the factory installed fitting. The brake pedal actuator is a "bolt-on" so it can be easily moved to an alternate vehicle. The system can be removed in minutes and easily installed in the new towed vehicle in about two hours.

A remote-head kit (allowing the faceplate to be mounted remotely from the main radio body) is under development by Scanner Master. No word yet on when this project will be completed (due to development problems) if at all.
