There is eleven-and-a-half inches of clearance under all beds, except that Perkins beds have twenty inches of clearance. Some of the beds frames are metal with round feet. Some of the bed frames are wooden with big square feet. Yes! Each residence hall room is wired for Internet/ACU "ResNet" network access via an Ethernet connection. Many students choose to bring or buy their own computer for personal/study use. Students also can use the computer lab in each residence hall, featuring IBM-compatible PCs and/or Macintoshes with Microsoft Office software and Internet capabilities. Residence hall computer labs are available to students 24 hours a day, except when they're being used as computer classrooms.

Spring Hill students who are 21 years of age are allowed to consume alcohol if they are in their rooms with the door closed or if they purchase alcohol at a College sanctioned event where a third-party vendor is present. Students under 21 who are found consuming or in the possession of alcohol will be sanctioned through the judicial system.

With the opening of our sixth dorm-house, Hillside School moves closer to its goal of having less than four students to a room. Many rooms are very spacious and can accommodate up to four students; though triples are preferred. As well, the two newer houses have an abundance of doubles. Additionally, Hillside School strives to have three faculty house parents in each home with 12-20 boys in each house.

The Schools vary. Some are four in a room (bunk beds). Some dorm situations are set up like military barracks where eight to fourteen share one extremely large barrack style room comfortably. Separate bathrooms and shower stalls.
