The customer is responsible for knowing all shipping regulations in their own country. If a package does get seized or is held, we will try to resend the package, once, at our expense, as a courtesy to the customer. If the second attempt is unsuccessful, we will bear no further responsibility. We have not yet had a case where two shipments to the same customer have been seized by customs. We're sorry, but we cannot issue refunds for seized shipments.

Before ordering, please confirm with you country's regulating bodies that they will allow herbal tea into your country. You may want to tell them that the essiac herbal tea contains the eight herbs: blessed thistle, burdock root, kelp, red clover sheep sorrel, slippery elm bark, turkish rhubarb root, and watercress. However, we do not write these ingredients out on the customs slip. We simply write "herbal tea.

We estimate that between 3 and 5% of all orders are seized by customs. If your order is unfortunately seized and held by customs we will reship to you as per our reship policy. If you have not recieved your order within 28 days of the shipping date we promise to reship. Please contact us when the 28 days has expired and we will organise the reship at our expense.

We get asked this question a lot so we feel it is important to address this. We can certainly understand the apprehension our customers must have about ordering a product from another country. This is why we do everything we can to ensure all our products meet the safety and regulatory requirements of all the countries we ship to. Because our business relies on international customers we cannot afford to take chances.

If your package is stopped by the customs agency in your country, you may or may not receive a notice from them. If the products are indeed illegal in your country, they will most likely return the package to us. If they do, there may be a return shipping fee. Once the package is received back by us, we will contact you by e-mail and refund you for the products, minus the shipping fees. You can also use this credit towards different products or have the package shipped again.

Nothing, or almost nothing. If for some rare occasion that they decide to open your letter and see the contents and conclude that they are Cannabis seeds, they will send you a letter saying "You have attempted to order a controlled substance. We have confiscated the contents and will not press charges." There are many countries in the world so this could vary.

From time to time customs does a random inspection of parcels from various sources being imported into the US and other countries. This is part of their routine. They should notify the intended recipient with a letter if the package is held, and they may hold them for a week or more before releasing them. If your package is not released from customs you can be issued a refund less the amount of $10 - $20 for dispensing fees and the shipping costs for your order.

All packages going outside the country or to an APO or FPO require a customs form. The form can be obtained at the mailroom during operating hours.
