Our agreements vary from company to company, so the price with your company wouldn’t necessarily be the same as the price of that a member with a different company.

To clean a steam boiler, use one pound of trisodium phosphate for every fifty gallons of water content. Heat the boiler to 180 degrees F; hold at 180 degrees F for two hours. Do not allow the boiler to make steam. After two hours, drain the boiler and fill with fresh makeup water. Water treatment chemicals should be thoroughly reviewed before they are introduced into the boiler. Foaming agents that will interfere with steam action are of particular concern.

Yes, this is entirely possible. Temperature control is the issue. You can use one of our heat exchanges to change the steam to hot water. Then you can use a mixing valve to control temperature of the hot water. You may want to consider the use of a safety control.

The Boiler Challenge is scheduled on a request basis. This means that you tell us when you want to plan your visit...any day of the week, and as long as another group does not have that time, we will do everything in our power to get you scheduled during a time that's best for you. Remember, this is an outdoor activity, so it must be during daylight hours, and weather could play a factor.

Time slots fill in quickly, so it's best to get your request in as soon as you can. We ask that you put in your schedule request at least two weeks prior to your preferred date so that proper arrangements can be made.
