BAUWERK limewash is a textured paint finish. Depending on the application procedure, a heavily textured finish can be achieved or a lightly textured finish. For a very smooth finish, it is recommended to use a high quality brush with a thinned down last coat. With this last application, the paint has to be applied with even criss-cross strokes, feathering out at the ends.

Almost all rapid prototyping materials can have surface finish and cosmetic improvements made to them. Both SLS and SLA can be sanded, filled and painted to look like injection-molded plastic. Surface texturing can even be applied if time and budget allows. Most parts, however, do not require high level finishing, and are simply sanded and bead blasted. This creates and nice surface finish that is excellent for engineering purposes.

When the engine warms up, check the exhaust, preferably while driving behind the car. Blue smoke indicates a weak engine while black indicates excessive unburnt fuel. Ideally, there should be no smoke. Ask for the Pollution under Control Certificate. Stop the car and open the bonnet. Remove the oil filler cap with the engine at idling speed.
