How does concrete compare to granite on price?

Liquid Stone Studios
If calculated on a square foot basis, our countertops can cost less, the same or more than granite, which is becoming more affordable and readily available to the masses. Just as paintings are not sold by the square foot, we tend to price our countertops per project, not by size, as not all square feet are created equal. More creative and technically complex projects require more complex forms and a more sophisticated mold making process.

How does granite compare to other common commercial table top materials?

Cafe, Bistro and Commercial Tables :: FAQ :: Granite Table T...
Granite tops are heavy. Our 2cm granite tops are 35-40% heavier than a 1 1/4 laminate top with the same area. Granite tops are not too heavy to move around the dining area as needed but do have the heft to stay put. This often leads to a reasonable, but fortunately incorrect, assumption that the freight on granite table tops is excessive. It is not, as the freight class in which granite can be shipped makes the freight comparable to table tops of other materials.

What about concrete?

Frequently Asked Questions
Concrete is a commonly requested material. To be honest, we don't know much about gluing to concrete. You could check with some building sites. Cement is the adhesive that holds concrete together. It will take some research on our part but we are thinking about doing concrete. A very cool and specialized glue! It does its job then you can roll it into ball and ... well, have a ball with it. The glue that is used for "tip ins" (magazine jargon) is referred to as a Peel and Stick glue.
