The Office of the County Clerk sells NYS fishing licenses during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00-4:30. You must bring in last year's license or a valid driver's license to purchase a new license. This office does not sell hunting licenses.

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) is responsible for establishing hunting, fishing and trapping seasons as well as wildlife-related law enforcement. There are two IDNR conservation officers in Woodbury County. They work out of their vehicles and can be reached on their cellular phones.
