You can pre-treat them with sprays and conditioners/lotions (condition first, then treat with protectants), then apply cleaners for cleaning stains. There are many manufacturers of leather conditioners and cleaners out there. Coach has a commonly used set. I've seen Enzo and Nine West have their own cleaners as well. Kiwi lotions and repellant sprays are found in most drugstores.

In order to maintain the inherent features of leather upholstery regular cleaning and care treatments are necessary. Regularly wash the armchair with water and neutral soap and then apply a coating of nourishing cream on the entire surface of the same, as the cream acts to saturate the leather and delays any stain absorption. Some you can soap up, wear in the shower and rinse off. Some you can soap up and rise by hand in the bathtub (like a sleeping bag). Nubuk and Suede are both difficult to care for and clean. Nubuk is top grain leather in which to grain has been buffed to resemble a suede-like appearance. Both are nearly impossible to clean. We have found that when people have a comparative list (of weights), they frequently make the wrong selection...ie., this one must be the best, because it's the heaviest...or...this is the one I want because it's the lightest.
