Get into the editing mode, press 'Ctrl' + 'Shift' keys, and it will toggle between English and Chinese input. Yes, there is a strong tradition of Western herbal medicine, with its origins going back into folklore. Unfortunately, there seems to be even less published work in this area, so very little evidence exists on which someone with a conventional approach can base advice. Chinese midicine uses and recommends herbs and nutritional supplements from plant, animal, and mineral sources which are traditionally considered safe in Chinese medicinal practices. Only when herbs are taking in large dosages, could possible side effects be observed.

There are many options now available. Traditionally, most Chinese herbs are given uncooked to the patient who boils them and drinks the resulting broth. As many people may find this to be time-consuming, there are easy alternatives. We use concentrated herbal powders that can be combined specifically to suit each patient's needs. The powders are simply mixed in warm or hot water and consumed two to three times daily. The powders can also be put into capsules.

To understand how Chinese medicine works, one must first concede that there is no separation of mind, body, and spirit. The body cannot live without the mind and vice versa.
