A solo practice can give you the freedom to manage your time, as you are no longer accountable to other lawyers and there are no "minimum quotas" for billable hours. Yes. Successful completion of the JD licensure program at IUCOL qualifies the student to take the State Bar Examination. Upon successful passage of this examination, the student becomes a member of the California State Bar and may practice law in California.

In British Columbia, every member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia is qualified to practice in all areas of the law. Most lawyers focus on areas of interest to them and prefer to practice in only certain areas. Collaborative Law Practice is a dispute resolution process that provides an alternative to conventional litigation.
