We travel in protected areas most of the time. On many days of the summer this coast is like sailing on a lake - flat and calm. Sometimes we cross into open water for short periods of time where we may experience greater motion.

a. There are a variety of boats from catamarans (twin hulls), to larger single hulls. While the catamarans are traditionally more stable, all boats are in motion while out at sea.. Most all operators will keep their boats in as protected water as possible to minimize discomfort for those prone to motion sickness. b. It is recommended that you bring some form of protection if you are prone to motion sickness. Such items could include medication, patches, wristbands and gels.

There are days when the water is a little rough, on the Atlantic side of the island. Then again, there are some days, when the water is very calm. The depth of the water increases gradually, so you can generally wade out very far, before it gets deep.

In 4 foot (trough to crest) very steep waves as long as you have wind, she’ll reach and run with very little roll. (If anyone starts to turn a little green, get them out of the cabin, eyes focused on horizon, and don’t read, it should pass in a few minutes, if not gone too far). Close-hauled in 4 foot waves some spray will reach the cockpit but you can duck behind the raised pop-top (with dodger installed) to stay dry.

Water has about the same refractive index as polished opal, so rough opal in water is a preview of the cut and polished opal.

Generally no, there is are reefs offshore that keep it relatively calm, but there are some days where it can get rough, so use you own judgment, according to the conditions of wind, etc.

Even though Zanfel is safe on damaged skin, excessive scrubbing with this or any other product is not recommended. Remember that the goal is to remove the urushiol oil, and this usually takes no more than 15 seconds of scrubbing. In fact, Zanfel also deep cleans the skin, promoting fast healing of the wound at the same time it is removing the toxin. Zanfel feels good when you scrub with it, even on cuts.

If you have a rough draft completed, I will look over it if time allows, and my schedule changes from week to week. My feedback will concentrate on argument and structure. I'm unlikely to give you concrete "do this" suggestions-rather I try to identify areas that might be improved.

The "Mr. Z" is the largest full-time Sport Fishing charter boat in Key West. We rarely lose days to bad or rough weather. I generally say we can run in wind speeds up to 25 knots or 6-8 foot seas. Our weather service can sometimes (mostly) be incorrect at times so we adopt a "wait and see" policy. We don't' cancel trips until we have to. In that case, there is no charge. All weather calls are made by the captain.

Rough-in inspections are simply inspections of portions of the wiring system that will be concealed when the project is completed. With proper planning, most 1, 2, and 3 family residential jobs only require one rough-in inspection. However, it should be noted that many factors determine how many rough-in inspections are needed on any particular job and that the builder primarily determines these factors. The thing to remember is that all wiring must be inspected before it is concealed.

The ram air parachutes used today allow for soft landings as the rule instead of the exception. AFF students are taught how to do a Parachute Landing Fall in the event that they misjudge their landing flare and land harder then usual. Tandem students are taught to hold their feet up for the landing and let the instructor touch down first. WPSA continuously replaces our parachutes to ensure that the gear is always performing like new.

Generally calm. Sidney is within all the islands so it is difficult to get large waves. Some boat wakes will be encountered.

Winter hut users will find large pots at the huts for melting snow. We advise that parties clean and refill snowmelt pots upon arrival at the hut, and snowmelt water should be treated or filtered before drinking. In the summer, water backpacks are provided for collecting water from springs and streams. All water should be treated or filtered before drinking. Distances to water sources vary from hut to hut (see below).

When first planted, water daily. It's good to fertilize at this time. Once established, only water during dry spells.
