Most snowthrowers have only rudimentary electrical systems which were never designed with an electrical accessory or heated grips in mind. The presence of a "headlight" on a snowthrower does NOT guarantee it has enough electrical power for a pair of Hot Grips?. Most "headlights" on snowthrowers use between 18 to 24 watts and their electrical systems were only designed to meet those basic requirements. A PAIR of Hot Grips requires 36 watts or a MINIMUM of 3.

The Colorado Trail Foundation supports a non-motorized trail. The Trail is suitable for hikers, equestrians, mountain bikers (with the exception of wilderness areas), and pack animals. A few sections of the CT are still shared with motorized users.

If you plan to ride on the 'roads' then yes you must be a licensed driver and your vehicle must be licensed as well. However, a drivers license is not required to ride 'off-road'.

The Orford Town Clerk and Lebanon DMV substation register boats (boat registration application form). Boat renewals may be done via mail directly with the DMV Boat Desk. The Lyme Country Store registers ATV's and snowmobiles. In order to register these, you must present the supporting documents (old registrations, paperwork from the state or purchase documents) to an authorized agent. Yes, the variable heat controller will work with any of our heated grips. However, your vehicle must produce direct current (DC) for the controller to function properly. If your vehicle has a battery, then you have direct current (DC).

Absolutely! Responsible riders are always welcome. For ATV riders the Great Smoky Mountain National Park has a large area with several trails set up specifically for ATV's. Don't own an ATV? There is an ATV rental service in the National Park.

For a renewal just bring the old registration. For a new registration, when purchased from a dealer, the green sales tax form and Maine assigned numbers for used recreation vehicles. If it was bought in a private sale you will need, the bill of sale, Maine assigned number, serial numbers and horsepower and length for boats. Sales tax of 5% is collected on private sales.

You can, but there isn't anywhere in the immediate area to ride them. We are located off a couple of private roads (one of which is slippery gravel), and the people living along them don't much care for ATVs zipping back and forth, and tend to report it to the local police. There are parks in the Buggs Island Lake area that do have trails adequate for bicycle riding.

Youth between the ages of 12 and 16 may operate an ATV or off road motorcycle on public land by obtaining the CD-ROM course from the DNR Information Center, and taking the behind the wheel 4 hour course listed on the ATV safety training webpage. People over age 16 and born after July 1, 1987, must also take the CD-ROM ATV course. Once a bear finds food around your home it is likely to return.

Boat registrations are due every three years and can be renewed from January 4th thru April 30th. There is a $5.00 penalty after April 30th. Snowmobile & ATV registrations are due every year on December 31st. There is a $5.00 penalty after December 31st.
