Go to Settings/Display Settings/Full Screen Properties page, and select Wide Screen. This selection tells TVedia that the whole screen is projected onto a 16:9 TV screen, which means objects displayed need to be scaled to display in the correct aspect ratio.

Some Plasmavision screens come with a built in tuner, these are denoted by a T as the middle of the three letter block in the model number. Other models will display a TV picture from a tuning device such as a Satellite, Cable or Freeview Set-top Box or an analogue TV tuner. To view the picture you simply need to connect the two devices together using the correct cable.

My MOm, had dibillitating rhuematoid arthritis for many yrs. I recently moved back, to her house, which has a water softener, for many yrs. The drinking water was diverted, many yrs back. My cat started having (thyroid) problems, and had been drinking, from the tub water, for a few monthes. I was wondering, if somehow, the water softener, may have contributed to my Mothers' rhuematoid arthritis and my cats, urinary and thyroid problems.

Tough call, but probably not. There is nothing magical about the Xbox - or any game console - as far as screen burn-in is concerned. The problem rests with the fixed graphics that most games have on-screen: Health meters, scores, timers, etc. These fixed objects are no more or less dangerous than the CNN logo or the ESPN score box in a football game. Anything that sits in the same place on the screen for a long time *might* cause burn-in. Lower the contrast and brightness of your TV.

When the photo is only the quarter of the screen on TV, you must be seeing the disc menu. Every disc menu selects the first photo of your photo slideshow you've prepared in the first step. When you see the main disc menu, please remember to press the digital button ( 1, 2, 3,..) on your DVD player's remote control to play the corresponding slide shows.

Get a graphics card with TV-out or buy a bigger monitor. As of March 2006, there is only one standalone player that supports MKV, MP4 or OGM, and that is an Xbox running Xbox Media Center (XBMC) DevBlog. Transcoding to DVD is a very bad idea for many reasons, and it's very difficult, bordering on impossible, to do it with MKV files with variable frame rate (VFR).

We scan at 2,500ppi. Your final image size will be 1293 x 1920 pixels. The highest resolution HDTV available today is 1080 x 1920 pixels. Naturally, the quality of your final image is going to be greatly dependent on the quality of your original slide. Sometimes people think that their slides are in better shape or sharper than they really are. For our own reputation, we are going to get the images as sharp as possible. The display on your widescreen TV will depend on how you have your TV setup.

A flat viewing surface is advantageous for several reasons. First, the image itself is more realistic. With a conventional tube TV the image is distorted by the curvature of the glass. With Flat TV the image is not distorted in this fashion at all. Second, the viewing angle is wide on most flat monitor surfaces. Flat TV's are viewable from anywhere in the room with a normal viewing angle of 160 degrees. This surface appears brighter and clearer to the viewer, especially from an angle.
