If you press the "A" key in the light box all images in the view will be selected and you can then press the delete button. If you are using the groups feature within the lightbox and you have added images to various groups, deleting an image from the All Images group will remove it entirely from the program and thus from any groups it may have been linked to.

You can shift select or control select images in the light box and drag them to a group. When you click on a group in a lightbox it will only give you images in that group. When you are in the workspace and adding images you will have a pop-down of your groups.

You can delete an icon from the images list window in design mode by selecting the icon and pressing the BackSpace key.
