Yes! Dancing is as easy as walking once you are taught by an Arthur Murray expert. We teach simple, basic elements from which the steps are derived. Hundreds of thousands of people have been successfully trained in Arthur Murray Dance Studios. There is no age limit. Many of the oldest students are over 70. The youngest are usually in their early teens. Most people have no idea how good they could become with a little diligence.

Maybe. It all depends on how well the content of the video is made, and there are very many of them around nowadays. Of course videos come into their own if you don't have easy access to lessons, in which case they provide a necessary alternative. More experienced dancers tend to use them as a source of ideas and inspiration.

To learn to dance takes a few beginners lessons where you are being exclusively taught steps. Each dance will take a different amount of time to learn, but your teacher will give you more information when you can progress from one level to the other. Once the steps start to feel like a second nature, you can start learning more complicated routines.

To this there is only one answer...it depends! Some people find salsa easy and swing difficult and others find it the opposite. I believe it comes down to what feels most natural to your body. The only way to find out is to try it.

Taking lessons at the Asheville Ballroom and Dance Centre of course! We offer and recommend a comprehensive program of private lessons, group classes and social dances. Taking group classes and/or private lessons twice a week will help individuals and couples to learn more quickly and retain what you learn. We offer discounts on multiple classes.
