Can I flash my DS with only software?
Monroeworld v4:There is NO software only solution to flashing a DS. You MUST PURCHASE HARDWARE to flash your DS. I don't care what your friend's friend told you or what you read on a website. You can use a third generation passme type device (Superkey, passme3, R4/M3 Simply, etc) to avoid flashing your DS. But we don't recommend using homebrew from untrusted sources without flashing your DS.
Does DS Download play work on flash carts? Why do some games work and some games don't?

By flashing your DS or using a third generation passme device, you are BYPASSING this protection system (which is why technically it is in violation of the Digital Millenium Copyright Act in the United States).
