Driving: SWAU will pay a portion of the gasoline expenses of prospective students who drive to Keene. We reimburse a prospective student 1/4 of round-trip gasoline expense, 1/2 of roundtrip gasoline expense if two prospective students come together, and all round-trip gasoline expense of the vehicle that three or more prospective students drive to Keene. Please save your gasoline receipts for reimbursement.

Spending four to five hours on our campus during business hours is more than enough time to take a tour and meet with advisors and counselors. We suggest that you plan to visit SWAU in either a morning or an afternoon during the week, Monday through Friday noon. Visitors are welcome to stay for up to two nights during the week or three nights over the weekend to get a deeper SWAU experience. Three days gives visitors ample time to fully explore SWAU campus life.

All prospective students are welcome to visit our campus but because of the expense of international travel and because we can only provide a maximum of three days lodging, it is often impractical for foreign students to visit our campus before they come to enroll. (We can easily arrange a visit for prospective students who are already in the United States.) In three days, visitors can fully experience SWAU campus life. (See "travel expenses" above for details on our reimbursement policies.)

We love to show visitors our campus and have them interact with our students, faculty and staff. We'll set up meetings for prospective students with academic advisors and financial counselors. Let us know what your interests are and we'll do our best to introduce you to the people you should meet. If you have an interest in choir, band, or gymnastics we'll try to arrange a visit during practice.

A travel estimate is added to the basic fee. The estimate charged will vary depending on the means of transportation needed for the seminar presenter. For this reason many churches choose a seminar presenter who lives closer to the seminar location. Overnight Estimate – More than a 2 hours drive one-way, overnight stay required - $250.00 estimate. Flying Estimate – If flight travel is required, $700 estimate to cover the cost of air and ground travel, accommodations, and meals.

Absolutely. If you live more than 150 miles from our nearest location, you may have reasonable transportation expenses reimbursed in an amount up to 5% of your procedure fee. You may also deduct reasonable travel expenses for a consultation visit and a seminar as long as the total amount does not exceed 5% of your procedure. In addition to transportation expenses, you will receive one night's stay at a pre-selected area hotel at our expense.

Nearly half of our students participate in the federal work study program. Some common on-campus employers include the admission office, campus store, custodial, maintenance, food service, and the library to name a few.

Unfortunately the Job Fair does not have funds available to help students pay for travel and other related expenses.

We do not require applicants to interview for admission. However, a campus visit is the best way to decide whether the UO is for you. You may meet with an admissions counselor, talk with a departmental adviser, take a campus tour, and have lunch in a residence hall dining room. We will be happy to make these arrangements as well as accommodations necessary for accessibility and interpretation. Applications should be submitted at least four (4) months before the session starts. International students should not submit an application more than a year (12 months) before a session starts. The closest hospital to our campus is Walls Regional Hospital (15 minutes away) and Huguley Memorial Hospital is just 25 minutes from campus.

Visitation hours are campus wide and regulate when students can have guests in their residence halls. Visitation hours for SJC students are Sunday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. and Friday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. Same-sex visitors are allowed to stay overnight with a guest pass from a Residential Assistant.

We are happy to host you and family members who wish to accompany you. Prospective students over the age of 18 can come alone but those under 18 should visit SWAU with an adult family member or other adult sponsor. SWAU will provide everyone in your group meal cards for a maximum of nine meals in our cafeteria and pay for lodging in a local hotel (one room) for you and your family for up to two nights during the week and up to three nights over a weekend.
