It's very easy to make an executable using the Internet Explorer control in Visual Basic. One could then compile to have a self-executable that runs the game without the user having to start an HTML file. However, the good thing about the browser is that people already know it and trust it. Some are actually more reluctant to start executables, especially if they downloaded them from the World Wide Web. QML is suited for online play and that will introduce the least hassle for users.

Because of the unique nature of Flowing Dragon Swords, it is played at as many speeds as there are players who play it. There is no “correct” speed except that when starting to learn, it is best to go very slowly. Never, would you go faster than the speed at which they are “meeting you”, (as you are always “Listening” to your O/T’s sword). It is always a co-creation of movement or stillness, slow or moderate, beginner, novice or advanced.

Like Monopoly, a toss of the dice moves your game piece along the board's squares. That same toss sends stock and bond prices up or down, sometimes soaring, sometimes plummeting; always seemingly predictable, but therein -like the real stock markets-lies its drama. The square where your game piece lands determines your play-opportunities.

The game is played in four rounds. At the start of each round, the host will announce the names of two of the "main suspects" (there are 8 main suspects in each game and only the host knows the identity of these characters). The suspects will then read a brief script together. Afterwards, everyone, including the main suspects will deliver clues, either by reading them or acting them out via pantomime. The rounds are broken up by dinner courses, viewing the crime scene, and other activities.

We start with people creating their characters and figuring out their motivations. Then, a group who's job is to create the plot lines and keep the action going (the plot committee) presents the players with a problem of some sort. Save the damsel in distress. Clear a road of brigands. Destroy the evil monsters. Settle a peace negotiation. Figure out why all of the wildlife is fleeing the area. That sort of thing. From here, things vary quite wildly, with as many varieties as we have players.
